美国在经济工作会议上对中国人民币施压

美国财政部长盖特纳在中美双方高层经济对话中表示，美国支持中国让控制严格的人民币继续升值。

中国和美国是世界上最大的两个经济体，美国官方在两国年度战略与经济对话会议上抱怨最多的问题是，由于中国人民币过于疲软导致美国外贸经常出现逆差。

盖特纳早就准备好了台词，他说美国官方认为，承诺人民币升值将对中国近5年的经济发展计划起到至关重要的作用。

然而，中国官方发表观点称很有可能对未来的人民币所得加以限制，中美两国关系很有可能因此产生摩擦。

Complaints that a weak Chinese yuan distorts trade are a key issue for U.S. officials at the economic track of the annual Strategic and Economic Dialogue between the world's two biggest economies.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has said Washington supports more appreciation for China's tightly controlled currency rise in value as the two sides opened a high-level economic dialogue.

In prepared remarks, Geithner said Washington considers "particularly important" the promise of a stronger yuan in China's latest five-year development plan.

Chinese officials have said, however, that future gains by the yuan are likely to be limited, setting up a possible clash with Washington.
